In my experience the asking ‘am I okay?’ is more about the man than the woman. It’s an ego thing. “I must be too big, I’m being too rough, she can’t handle me”. Not saying that is the case with this man as he genuinely seems like he is asking the question sincerely. Just another perspective. However, OP, this could be something to consider. You’ve been married now for 14 years, maybe your wife knows you wouldn’t do anything to make her not ok and by constantly asking her it annoys her. I know in my every day life if someone keeps asking am I ok I eventually will not be okay because they’ve pissed me off! Unless you’re trying something totally new for her maybe trust yourself and her!
