It’s true that it’s very confusing. Condom size is always about the girth and never about the length. Companies don’t produce XL condoms uniformly, some make it 56mm while others start at 57mm and such. I couldn’t figure it out myself, too. I would suggest you look for starter packs, in there you have a bunch of different condom sizes ranging from 56 – 62mm and try out what fits best. It should be rolled down easily on your penis, but with a bit of tension (but not too much, because that hurts over time). A good rule of thumb is if you see it’s not tight on your penis, you’ve gone too wide with the condom. If it hurts (wear them for like 15-30min) then you’ve gone too tight. If you can’t find such starter packs, I’d suggest ordering two condoms of various types and try them out. If the calculator told you 60mm then I’d say try it out. You’d be surprised by yourself of how big a condom has to be for you.
