I don't think there's really substantial risk of getting sick from your own gut flora, because your body already has a symbiotic relationship with it. The more extreme “ass to other girls mouth” is much more risky for the “other” girl in that scenario though, for the opposite reason that being exposed to someone else's gut flora is more problematic. Not saying that it's impossible for something to have happened, but a reduction in empathy and sympathy it's kind of part of the point of basic training.
